Iraq made Japan to bow them - Sep 30, 2004 - by Mahin Gorgy
Iraq 67 Japan 57
20-17/ 17-11/ 18-12/ 12-17
Who could imagine that Iraq can make Japan silent? For the guys who are struggling for a normal life in Iraq winning against the rich-peaceful and well-developed Japan is a dream. That's why they gathered in the center of the court after the game and shouted IRAQ.
It is clear that Japan is not a great power of Asia in Basketball any more but they are not poor of course. As far as they investigate on other sports like Ski, swimming, Baseball and football, they lost their crowd and now they are the 5th or 6th power in the Asia although they are rich.
You could see the real power of Japan against Iraq. They went up and down and at the end bowed. Don't mistake, this bowing was absolutely different!
For getting the great 2 points of this game, Rahman Soleeman scored 22 while Bilal Nassif had14 and Mustafa Hamza and Mohammad added 22, 11 for each.
Iraq had 19 TO, 10 ST, 6 AS, 8BL, 20 RO, 29 RD, 4 3points, 24 2points and 7 FT, and here are the team stats of Japan:
16 TO, 12 ST, 2 AS, 1BL, 10 RO, 19 RD, 9 3points, 9 2points and 12 FT
